The Philosophy: "Classical and Individual"

Amselhof WalleFollowing the history of dressage riding one realizes that much has changed in the course of time. But the classic training methods remain valid to this day. The guidelines for systematic dressage are established, but the individual needs of the horses must also be complied with. There is no ideal way without any problems, no "generally applicable method".

Heike KemmerHeike Kemmer runs her training stable in accordance with the classic way of riding. Thanks to the longstanding cooperation with renowned teachers like General Albert Stecken, Herbert Rehbein, Johann Hinnemann, Holger Schmezer and Ulla Salzgeber she acquired the knowledge necessary to foster each horse according to its special abilities.

In the course of her career a more than average amount of horses were brought into the highest class, the Grand Prix, and presented in tournaments. She regards the varied and lengthy training of young horses as a special challenge. As this development never reaches an end, as there is always something which can be formed or improved Heike constantly connects new ways with the basics of classical training. "I am always open to new ideas and like to try things. If I realize that little changes in the equipment or course of training make my horses feel better I stick to it and am pleased about the progress", she says. To this day she takes every opportunity to profit from the experience and the knowledge of others.
