Riding transitions is every rider’s stock-in-trade. In every exam, no matter which level, the quality of the transitions affects the score. But not only for this the correct riding of transitions is important, the subtle changes from gait to gait moreover help the horse to exercise and supple and contribute to its responsiveness. At the equestrian centre of Robert Köhl in Rohr Heike will demonstrate a few exercises with which the harmony between horse and rider can be improved. |

Niedersachsenhall in Verden – The Decisions of the Licensing Committee are Eagerly Awaited
For three days the Licensing Committee of Lower Saxony will meet in Verden’s Niedersachsenhall to examine and judge once more the young stallions which were chosen from 795 candidates. On Friday, 23 October, the first judgments will be passed: „Licensed“ or „not licensed“.

Heike and Royal Rubin with Successes at Capitol’s Tournament
Where planes once used to start, horses crowded the runway these days. For the first time Tempelhof Airport in Berlin hosted the Capitol’s tournament. Almost 200 riders and more than 380 horses started in the dressage and showjumping tests, among them Olympic champions, European champions, and many more. Heike, as true-blue Berliner, was one of them. With a good performance she and Royal Rubin came tenth in the Grand Prix and fourth in the freestyle on Saturday. “I was very content with Rudi. After his long break this was his second start in a tournament and I notice that he’s gradually improving in the tests”, so Heike.
